Tech Buddies for Digital Inclusion is an intergenerational initiative that pairs young people and elderly people through a one-to-one Tech Buddy mentorship model. Through meaningful companionship and hands-on learning experiences, the programme creates a supportive environment where elderly participants can build digital confidence and practical skills, while young people develop leadership, empathy, and a stronger sense of social responsibility. 

Designed to make digital learning engaging and accessible, the programme combines gamified challenges, practical technology training, and digital safety education to help elderly people strengthen their digital literacy. From using smartphones and accessing online services to making digital payments and recognising online scams, participants gain the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate an increasingly digital world. 

At the heart of Tech Buddies is a service-learning approach that encourages the elderly and youth to learn alongside one another. Through interactive activities, structured learning journeys, and digital skills competitions, participants have opportunities to apply and showcase newly acquired knowledge while building meaningful cross-generational connections.
